To improve the quality of delivered services VCA AG  has  specialised in a four steps procedure model. However, this standardised approach shortens also the project run times because we must not invent our work each time again. This also affects very positively the costs of  VCA AG services. These four steps enable our customers to find the safest path to transformations and move forward with speed and confidence.


The customer receives more information and a better consulting service not excessively overloading his budget. With this approach we fulfil the wish of our customers to work quickly and effectively, because the project goals, the duration as well as the costs of our services are exactly defined before the project beginning. All these minimises the risk on the part of the customer to zero.

Step 1: The Assessment

To be able to put the project into action in a proper way it is absolutely necessary to do a reasonable and detailed assessment. In bigger projects we recommend the data collection constantly for a longer period. For this purpose we use a special tool in the form of software. This software is placed by the customer only for the project period and controls the agent or agentless platform independent data collection. This way we receive information about the state of your applications, data, infrastructure as well as the security. We process and mix this information to an exact overview about all configuration and load data as well as business attributes.


Step 2: Building a Strategy

In this step the collected actual data of the assessment is simulated with different nominal data.
Here we benchmark data to build hypothetical cases in order to forecast future states. This process will be repeated several times until the best or desired result is achieved. Our WHAT-IF analysis recommends to expand the scope of hardware providers or platforms in order to give the customer a better basis for decision making. This way we are able to define the perfect nominal condition for the customer and to create an exact Road-Map. This Road-Map can be defined very precise and is   the general basis for the customer to  start  his transformation.


Step 3: The transformation

The transformation will be performed mostly by our customer but  VCA AG may accompany him with so-called Snap-Shot analyses. These short analyses give the information whether the transformation has taken its correct course or give hints if there is danger to deviate from the together created Road-Map.

Step 4: The regular Optimization

After the successful transformation at regular intervals from 6 to 12 months a short optimisation activity should be  done by the customer.  On one hand is verified if the Transformation ran the correct way and on the other hand, whether another optimization can be caused by changed conditions.
